How to become a volunteer

Volunteering for SNYE is a hugely rewarding way that you can make a real difference in your community. We are always looking for passionate, positive role models to join our youth club teams. Whether you can help with mentoring, games, sports, arts or simply being a supportive presence – we’d love to have you. No previous experience is indeed – just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.

“I genuinely love volunteering at the youth club. Seeing young people come together in a safe, fun environment and knowing we’re giving them opportunities they might not otherwise have is incredibly rewarding.”

“I have always been interested in child development and supporting those with SEND. Volunteering gives me the chance to pass on knowledge and wisdom. The courses provided have given me the tools to help me do that effectively. What makes it even more special is the team I work with.”

My day job involves managing the UK for clinical and sales for a Medical devices company. However, I am first and foremost a Mum ,wife, sister, friend and Nurse. My house was always, and is still, a place of safety and enablement, allowing people to be honest about who they are and how they feel (especially the kids and the following herd as they grew up.)

I volunteer to continue that support for young people. To be able to watch them grow with self confidence and embrace each others quirks with a smile is super rewarding. You also get to meet some great people who make the best teams to support the youth community and spread some sparkle.

Safeguarding policy

We are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where every young person is protected and respected. Our safeguarding policy outlines how we prevent harm, respond to concerns and ensure the wellbeing of everyone involved in our activities.

Equal opportunities policy

We are committed to treating everyone with fairness, dignity and respect. Our equal opportunities policy explains how we promote inclusion and ensure that people are not disadvantaged because of their background, identity or circumstances.
